Post Matric Scholarship 2010 for minority Community in Directorate, Higher Education in Pune

About :
Directorate of Higher Education is the nodal agency sponsored and activated by Ministry of Higher Education, Maharashtra Government. Directorate is headed by the Director of Higher Education and office is located at Central Building, Pune. The main objectives of the directorate is to provide bridge role among Ministry of Higher Education of Maharashtra Government, Universities in Maharashtra, Private Colleges and Government Colleges. The director is the chief person to control the whole activities and he is supported by seven regional Joint Directors. For nearly each university one joint director is appointed. The office has also direct control over government colleges. The whole activities of government colleges get sanctioned by this directorate.

Eligibility:
1. The applicant should be Indian national and domicile of Maharashtra State
2. This scheme is applicable for the students of Minority Community studying from 11th Standard to Ph.D. Degree.
3. The student has to obtained minimum 50% marks in the previous examination.
4. The applicant should not avail of any other scholarship of stipend
5. The total annual income of family / guardian should not be more than Rs. 2 lakhs. (for 11th to graduate) and for higher education it should be Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
6. For renewal / applicant must have successfully passed the previous years examinations.

Application Form:
The applicant should download the form from the website www.dirhe.org.in/pms/FORMAT_OF_APPLICATION_2010-11.pdf , fill the form and submit it to the college / institute / university on or before 16th August, 2010.

Deadline: The last date for submitting the application is upto 16th August, 2010. (Please Read New Circular). : The Director, Higher Education, Pune, Implementation Order

Important:
1. It shall be responsibility of Principal / Director / Dean submit all the duly filled application forms to the concerned Joint Directors Higher Education Offices on or before 20th August, 2010.
2. After Scholarship is granted, The concern student has to open an account in the bank.
3. The amount of the Scholarship, if granted, will be transferred to the student’s and institute’s account.
