Scholarship Introduction:
Albright believes that high school students who have excelled academically and have demonstrated leadership skills add to the quality of life at the College regardless of their financial means. Therefore, Albright offers a variety of scholarships to assist students. All scholarships are renewable provided the recipient maintains the required grade point average.

Eligibility for scholarship:
All students who have been accepted as degree-seeking individuals are eligible to apply for financial aid. Federal and state funds are awarded to U.S. citizens and permanent resident aliens, while institutional funds are awarded to these students and international students.

Full-time enrollment, considered to be three courses taken per semester, is required for institutional funds.
Part-time enrollment (day or evening), considered to be two courses per semester, is necessary for state grant and federal loan eligibility.
Financial aid awards are made after the offer of admission. You will be notified of your financial aid package two weeks after Albright receives your financial aid application information from the U.S. Department of Education.

How to apply:
It’s easy to apply for the many Albright College scholarships and awards. Simply apply for admission by March 1. Once admitted, your application is automatically forwarded to the Scholarship Committee for consideration.

ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE, KENTUCKY- SCHOLARSHIP 2010

Kentucky Scholarship 2010 in Alice Lloyd College, USA -2010
Scholarship Introduction:
Alice Lloyd College’s first objective in carrying out its purpose is the provision of an exceptional education to qualified mountain students regardless of financial ability. Therefore, no qualified applicant should fail to attend the College due to financial constraints. The College maintains a guaranteed tuition policy for residents of 108 central Appalachian counties (PDF/25KB). Full-time students from within this territory will have their cost of education met by a combination of grants, scholarships and participation in the Student Work Program.

Eligibility for scholarship:
Each individual student will qualify for grants/scholarships based upon their Expected Family Contribution. The Expected Family Contribution is reported to the school by the U. S. Federal Government through your FAFSA. Contact the Financial Aid Office to discuss what grants/scholarships you qualify for.

How to apply:
To receive financial aid at Alice Lloyd College and to apply for any scholarships or grants, students are required to adhere to the following procedures:
1.    File an application for admission with the Alice Lloyd College Admissions Office.
2.    File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Failure to file the FAFSA by February 15 may result in the loss of KHEAA funding (CAP and KTG Grants). Priority will be given to students who complete the FAFSA by February 15.
3.    List Alice Lloyd College as one of your school choices so your information will be transmitted electronically to ALC.
4.    If you file the electronic on-line FAFSA, be sure to keep your PIN number in order to make corrections later.
5.    Copies of parents’ and students’ tax returns or statements of nontaxable incomes are required for any Pell eligible student.
Out-of-State Residents

Allegheny College, USA -Trustee Scholarship Program  2010

Scholarship Introduction:
Allegheny College has a long history of welcoming international students. Over the years, many students with diverse backgrounds have found Allegheny’s unique environment to be a perfect fit for them.

To recognize applicants with strong academic records and programs Allegheny College has a trustee scholarship to offer.

Eligibility for scholarship:
Students recognized as Trustee Scholars usually rank in the top 25% of their high school class (or otherwise excelling in class work and other activities when the school does not rank) and have SAT/ACT scores consistent with their academic performance. Allegheny values students who balance their academic excellence with other distinctive activities. The top scholarship is awarded to the very best of the best, typically to only the top 5% of our applicants each year. A limited number of Trustee Scholarships are available to highly qualified transfer students.

SCHOLARSHIP IN ALLEN COLLEGE 2010-USA

2010 Scholarship Assistance by Allen College, USA

Scholarship Introduction:
The purpose of financial assistance is to provide funds to students that otherwise would be unable to pursue a college education. This assistance is intended to supplement (not replace) the amount the student and/or her or his family can afford.

Eligibility for scholarship:
Students with a background matching the application criteria for scholarships offered through Allen College will be considered eligible applicants for those scholarships. In addition, to be considered an eligible applicant for 2010-2011, you must attend Allen College summer 2010 and/or fall 2010. Your application will remain active for the academic year until final awards have been made for all scholarships.

How to apply:

Complete the application form and Personal Essay.
Submit two (2) professional and/or academic references from persons most familiar with your background and abilities. Your references need to reflect your specific qualifications as they relate to the applicable scholarships for which you are applying. These qualifications will be carefully examined to determine your eligibility based on the individual donor’s criteria. Please refer to the Scholarship Book for the scholarship criteria. Frederick Douglass Scholarship Program- American University, USA

Scholarship Introduction:
Established in 1968, the American University Frederick Douglass Scholarship Program is designed to promote educational access and opportunity and to enhance educational diversity. The scholarship provides for full or partial tuition awards renewable for a total of four years of undergraduate study, provided scholars satisfy the academic performance requirements. Frederick Douglass scholars are selected on the basis of high academic achievement, leadership potential, demonstrated community service, and impressive co curricular involvement. Since its inception, approximately 1,500 students have attended the university as Frederick Douglass Scholars.

Eligibility for scholarship:
Preference will be given to first-generation students, students with high financial need and/or students from public high schools. In addition, priority consideration will be given to such students from the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.
Nominees must also:

Have at least a 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale
Rank in the top half of their class
Have satisfactory SAT or ACT scores
Be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States

Important dates:

If you are applying as an Early Decision student and also intend to apply for need-based financial aid, you will need to complete the CSS/Financial Aid Profile (Profile), which can be completed on the College Board’s Web site.

SCHOLARSHIP IN HONORS 2010-ANGELO STATE UNIVERSITY-TEXA

Angelo State University, USA- Scholarship in Honors Program 2010

Scholarship Introduction:
The Honors Program provides scholarships to current Honors students after their first full year in the program. Option One Track students receive $3,000 per academic year split between the fall and spring semesters

Eligibility for scholarship:

Turn in the Honors Program Application before the priority deadline.*
Take at least one Honors course each fall and spring semester (NOTE: Option Two Track students are not subject to this requirement.).
Regularly attend Honors Student Association meetings and events.
Have a cumulative 3.25 GPA.
Finish freshman and sophomore Honors Program coursework by the end of their third year at ASU.
Abide by the Honors Student Handbook.
How to apply:
1.  Application Form: The application form must be typed. Handwritten applications will not be processed and will not be returned.
2. Two (2) Reference Forms: The two references must be academic references.
3. Applicant Disclosure Form
4. Unofficial copy of your most recent high school and, if applicable, college transcript.

International Baccalaureate High School Students: Students who successfully complete an International Baccalaureate high school program will receive automatic admission to the Honors Program. They must, however, still complete all application materials necessary for being admitted into the Honors Program.

Scholarship Introduction
To assist you in pursuing an Argosy University education, we are pleased to offer several scholarship opportunities, with awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 for the academic year. Our scholarships recognize outstanding student achievement in a variety of areas:

Eligibility for scholarship:

Students must have applied for admission at an Argosy University campus.

Students must be degree seeking.
Students must be enrolled at least half-time although preference may be given to full-time students.
Scholarships may be applied to tuition only.

Students must have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine financial need. (International students are exempt from this requirement.)

Scholarship applications can only be submitted for one award to a single Argosy University campus. (Applications to multiple campuses will be rejected.)

Scholarships are made for one, two, or three semesters at the discretion of the campus.

Students who defer their admission to another semester will need to reapply for the scholarship.

Scholarships are not available to employees of EDMC, its subsidiaries, or affiliates.
