Scholarship Description: Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, as part of its mission to foster relationships with developing countries, has developed a special program for students from the African continent. This program will enable students to study on a full or partial scholarship for degree programs taught in English at UCSC’s Milan Campus. UCSC is pleased to offer for the second year 12 full scholarships that include tuition and board for eligible students from the following African countries:
Eligibility: Admission requirements for all programs include completion of at least a Bachelor Degree from a recognized university and IELTS 6.0 or equivalent if English is not the official language in your country. For the MBA at least three years of work experience and GMAT/GRE are required (students can apply without a GMAT/GRE score; however this test has to be taken before program commencement).

Scholarship Description:The Faculty of Psychology and Education employs about 290 people. The Faculty consists of 9 scientific departments for education and research. There are about 1850 students enrolled. The faculty is characterized by high-quality scientific research and by scientific education with special focus on academic training. Within the faculty an informal atmosphere with short lines prevails. The candidate has (or will have in the near future) an MSc degree in cognitive psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, physics, informatics, AI, biology, or a comparable area. The candidate has a strong interest in experimental research in the area of visual perception, memory, and attention, good research skills, and excellent ability to write and read English. Experience with programming or scripting languages (for example C++, Visual Basic, E-Prime, MatLab) is preferred. The candidate should be able to start at the latest on August 1, 2011.

Appointment will initially be for 12 months. The starting date is flexible, but must be before November 1st 2010. After a successful evaluation the appointment will be prolonged for another 36 months. The employment will have to result in a written dissertation by the end of the fourth year. Payment will be according to the standard regulations for scientific personnel, from € 2.042,- per month in the first year to € 2.612,- per month in the fourth year (gross income, based on fulltime appointment).

Indonesian Government has offered scholarships, under its scheme Beasiswa Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) or Developing Countries Partnership (DCP), for pursuing Master studies in various universities of Indonesia for the Academic Session 2011-12. The details are as under:

To strengthen the relationship and mutual cooperation among developing countries
To contribute to the development of human resource quality
Eligibility Criteria:

The maximum of age is 35 years.
Has a completed four (4) years Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
Has a TOEFL score of 450 or equivalent
Completes and submits the application form and must be nominated by the respective government.
If successful, while studying in Indonesia:

Will comply with the Indonesian Government and host university regulations
Will not work or join any political activity
Agrees not to change the place of study and study program selected
Sign the statement letter prior to departure

University of Cyprus Postgraduate Scholarships 2011-2012

The University of Cyprus announces the granting of 25 scholarships for postgraduate Master’s degrees and PhD in the academic year 2011/2012.

The scholarships are for postgraduate courses (beginning study in September 2011) and their aim is to develop and strengthen the relations and cooperation of the University of Cyprus with the Cypriots expatriates and to attract a large number of foreign students. The scholarships cover all the fields of study and are addressed to Cypriots expatriates and to foreign nationals (from non EU countries).

Five (5) out of the 25 scholarships will be allocated to Cypriot applicants who are permanent residents of Australia in order to strengthen the cooperation with the Australian Homogeny.
Three (3) out of the 25 scholarships will be granted to students from the University of Gjirokastra (Argyrokastro) – Albania.
One (1) scholarship will be granted for strengthening the Orthodox Teachers College in Kenya.
The other sixteen (16) scholarships will be allocated to Cypriot applicants who are permanent residents in foreign countries and to foreign nationals from non EU countries.
