1 PhD Studentship on Human Factors in Video Visualization PhD studentship stipend: £13290 per annum, plus £3390 annual fees Applications are invited for one PhD studentship in video visualization, which is an exciting and challenging research area in visual computing. The position is for three years, and the research will be conducted within the scope of an interdisciplinary project funded by EPSRC. The main technical aspect of this studentship focuses on human factors in video visualization, and other relevant aspects may include video processing, visualization design and several applications. The post-holder will be expected to work as a team as well as engage in collaboration with other research groups in the UK and abroad. The studentship will be based at Computer Science, together with a team of three other researchers in the project. The PhD programme will be jointly supervised by Professor Ian Thornton and Professor Min Chen. Swansea University is on the coast in one of the most beautiful parts of Britain. The Departments of Computer Science and Psychology are both committed to internationally competitive research. 70% of Computer Science research and 35% Psychology research are rated 4* (world-leading) and 3* (internationally excellent) in RAE2008.
