CANADA; Graduate Position: Evolutionary Conservation Biology

Two positions (one PhD, one MSc) are now available to examine the evolutionary consequences of small population size for conservation biology (Location:
Concordia University, Montreal, QC, Canada). Students will study interactions between population size, genetic diversity, adaptation, and phenotypic plasticity, using several populations of a salmonid fish in eastern Canada as a model system. The research will involve a combination of fieldwork, fish
husbandry, common-garden experimentation and molecular genetic studies;
previous experience in any of these areas is an asset.

Expected start date is September 2009 or January of 2010. Each position is contingent upon acceptance to the Department of Biology graduate program at
