The University of South Australia offers The Rural Vacation Research Bursary Program to Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents for the year 2010/11 in Australia


The Centre for Rural Health and Community Development (CRHaCD) is a UniSA funded research centre and a joint venture between the UniSA Centre for Regional Engagement (CRE) and the Spencer Gulf Rural Health School (SGRHS). It is offering up to four bursaries to encourage students to gain some research experience working with established researchers at the Whyalla campus of UniSA during the summer vacation.

Eligibility:
Undergraduate students or students in Graduate Entry programs in health and related disciplines (eg social work). From any of the SA universities will be eligible.
Undergraduate students must have completed the second year of their undergraduate program.
Applicants must have a demonstrated interest in research.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
The bursary will not be offered if there are no suitable applicants.



Bursary Details:

The bursary provides a travel subsidy of up to $150 for bus fare or own vehicle fuel. Furnished accommodation will be provided for the entire stay at no cost to students. Students will also receive a living allowance of $350.00 per week for the duration of the placement.
