AUSTRALIA; Postgraduate Scholarship in Chinese Film and Media Studies

Scholarship Description

A scholarship is available for a full-time Masters candidate who is undertaking research in a topic pertaining to Chinese Film and Media Studies, with a focus drawn from the ARC-funded project topic of ‘posters of the cultural revolution: contemporary Chinese perspectives on an era of propaganda’. The stipend will be awarded on a competitive basis to a student who has demonstrated excellent critical aptitude in a relevant field of study, has tertiary training in Chinese Studies, and who has Honours 1 in relevant field of study (Honours 2 applicants considered if accompanied by excellent referee’s reports). Applicants should simultaneously apply for admission into a Masters degree at the Faculty of Arts. Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD20427 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 1 year.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Cultural studies, Journalism, communication and media, JOURNALISM, LIBRARIANSHIP AND CURATORIAL STUDIES, LANGUAGE AND CULTURE, Other arts, Other language and culture, SOCIAL SCIENCES, HUMANITIES AND ARTS - GENERAL or THE ARTS.

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent.
