PhD scholarships 2009/10 for Biosciences/Biotechnology Research Scholarship and Cavendish Research Scholarship

At the University of Westminster you can apply for a scholarship once you have been offered a place (either conditional or unconditional) on a course at the University, but before you start your course. The only exception to this rule is if you are an undergraduate UK/EU student who started your course under the new tuition fee regime.

Biosciences/Biotechnology Research Scholarship
1. Amount
Full tuition fee waiver, available over three years subject to satisfactory academic progress.

2. Eligibility
You must be from a developing country and plan to study a postgraduate research programme (MPhil or PhD) in biosciences or biotechnology at the Cavendish site.

3. Criteria
Academic excellence, development potential and financial need.

Cavendish Research Scholarship

1. Amount
Full tuition fee waiver, available over three years subject to satisfactory academic progress.

2. Eligibility
You must be from India and plan to study a postgraduate research programme (MPhil or PhD) at the Cavendish site.

Academic excellence, development potential and financial need.

All proposals for admission must be received by the Research Team in the Academic Registrar’s Department by Friday 14 March 2009. The deadline for all PhD scholarship applications is 31 May 2009, unless otherwise stated.
