Job Description

The successful candidate will be expected to develop, manage and execute both basic and advanced level courses within Marketing, with a special emphasis on courses related to Marketing Management. This includes our Executive Education in Sweden and internationally.

The position also includes supervising students of all levels and contributing to the further development of the School’s research and teaching within Marketing. This includes independent research as well as developing a strong research connection within the education. Contributing to the School’s internal development is also an important requirement.

Qualification requirements

A suitable candidate is in possession of a PhD in Business Administration oriented towards Marketing, or alternatively, a Swedish or international degree equivalent to a PhD in the mentioned discipline. It is also a requirement to have a successful track record with documented scientific and pedagogical experience of both researching and teaching Marketing Management. Furthermore, in order to obtain a permanent position the candidate shall have completed at least 7.5 ECTS of teacher training for higher education or have acquired similar knowledge through other means. The applicant must be able to cooperate well with others and possess additional abilities and personal skills required to successfully fulfill the responsibilities included in the position.

Basis for assessment



Special and equal emphasis will be given to scientific and pedagogical expertise demonstrated through documented research and independent teaching. Recent publications in international journals (last five years) will be considered a great merit when evaluating scientific expertise and research activity.

A proven ability to cooperate well with faculty and staff will be of utmost importance. It is also of great significance to be able to establish good forms of collaboration with the surrounding community and communicate research and other developments in a clear and effective manner.
