International Fee Scholarships - The University of Queensland

Deadline: Friday 30 October 2009
Open to: International students, eligible for an Australian government student visa
Funding: Funded for the entire duration of their program

International Fee Scholarships

The scholarships are awarded to assist outstanding students studying programs in the Social
and Behavioural Sciences at The University of Queensland. Priority will be given to newly
commencing postgraduate research or coursework students, however undergraduate students with
high academic achievement are encouraged to apply. To be eligible for a fee scholarship, you
must be an international student and eligible for an Australian government student visa.

Coursework students will be funded for the entire duration of their program and subject to
satisfactory academic performance. PhD students will initially only be funded for a period of
12 months, and are encouraged to seek alternative funding sources. If unsuccessful in finding
alternative funding the Head of School may on the recommendation from the students'
supervisor re-nominate the student for additional funding.

A student failing to maintain satisfactory academic performance during the duration of the
scholarship may be required to show cause why the scholarship should not be cancelled.

Please note that this scholarship cannot be held concurrently with any other similar tuition
fee scholarship or bursary for tuition fees. Students are still eligible to recieve a living
stipend from alternative sources whilst on this scholarship.
