[Taiwan] ASML/NTIO Joint Scholarship

ASML is pleased to offer 3 scholarships jointly with the Netherlands Trade and Investment Office to give promising Taiwanese postgraduates and young professionals the opportunity to develop their skills at top Dutch technical universities for the academic year 2010/2011.

The Scholarship Scheme is administered in Taiwan by the Netherlands Trade and Investment Office and will be open to Taiwanese students who hold firm offers on a master's program in science and technology from one of the following three selected universities (Science Department preferred):

Delft University of Technology
Eindhoven University of Technology
University of Twente
ASML will support successful candidates and pay the costs of the full tuition fees (exclusive of living expenses and other costs) for up to two years of studies on one of the master's programmes at the above universities in the related subjects.

Criteria of Eligibility
Applicants who meet the following requirements will be placed in the first priority group:

Candidates must be citizens of Taiwan and be normally resident in Taiwan.
A BSc degree in the field of science & technology or in related subjects.
Fluent in spoken and written English (a minimum TOEFL score of 213 on computer-based test or 6.0 in IELTS.)
Regulations and Application Procedures:
To apply for the scholarship, all candidates must complete the scholarship application form, accompanied by copies of degrees or awards and academic transcripts, and return to NESO by 15 May 2010 at the latest.

Scholars will be selected by the ASML/NTIO Joint Selection Panel who will look at the strengths and capabilities of the candidates and consider their suitability for the program. All short-listed candidates will be called for an interview before a decision is reached. At the interviews, the questioning will focus on future career plans and ambitions.

Interviews will be held in June 2010. Final results will be announced by the end of June 2010. No scholarship will be confirmed until a university place has been secured. The deadline for candidates to secure a university offer is 1 July 2010.
