Research group of Biofunctional Polymer Materials at the University of Heidelberg (Department of Applied Physical Chemistry) and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Institute of Toxicology and Genetics) is searching for a PhD student. We are looking for a highly motivated chemist with interest in biology or a biologist with chemical background. In our group we use surface, organic and polymer chemistries to create new biomaterials, functional and stimuli-responsive polymer surfaces as well as to develop new cell microarrays and microfluidic devices. In particular, we work with superhydrophobic/superhydrophilic surfaces and nano-porous polymer materials. Interested students should send their CV, cover letter and university transcripts (as pdf or doc files) to levkin@uni-heidelberg.de Contact info: Dr. Pavel Levkin levkin@uni-heidelberg.de Phone: +49-724782-9175 Fax: +49-7247-82-3354 www.levkingroup.com University of Heidelberg Applied Physical Chemistry Im Neuenheimer Feld 253 D-69120 Heidelberg Germany
