The University of Edinburgh offers The Edinburgh Global India Scholarships for the year 2010/11 to Indian Students for the year 2010/11 in UK

Two scholarships for undergraduate study are offered in any subject within the College of Humanities and Social Science, and the College of Science and Engineering. Each scholarship will amount to £3,000 per annum deducted from the tuition fee and will be tenable for the duration of the programme of study.


Who may apply:

The scholarships will be awarded to two students who are citizens of India who:
are normally resident in India
have completed their secondary education in India
who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an undergraduate programme of study at the University of Edinburgh
Applicants should have applied through the University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) and been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh by the scholarship closing date of 17 June 2010.

Scholarship Details:

The scholarship will be awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit with candidates requiring an overall average of 85% in either:
the Standard XII Higher Secondary School Certificate from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) national Boards
certain selected state Boards
Students with exceptional A Levels, International Baccalaureate (IB) grades or other acceptable qualifications as approved by the University of Edinburgh will also be considered.
The scholarship may be terminated at any time if in the opinion of the Selection Committee the scholar has failed to make satisfactory progress or if the scholar withdraws or otherwise ceases to be registered as a full-time student at the University of Edinburgh.

Completed application forms must be returned to Scholarships and Student Funding Services no later than 17 June 2010.
