Bristol University International Taught Postgraduate Scholarships 2010


There are ten £2,000 scholarships available to international taught postgraduate students (overseas fee payers) from any country.
Applications for September 2010 entry are now open. The deadline for scholarship applications isFriday 28 May 2010, applicants must ALSO apply for an academic place by this date.
Founded in 1872, and receiving its Royal Charter in 1909, the University has had plenty of time to build and maintain its strong reputation as a teaching and research institution. If you’d like to know more, we have a brief history of the University online.
  • Applicants must have applied for a Taught Postgraduate programme at the University of Bristol when they submit a scholarship application.
  • Conditional offer holders may apply for the scholarship but an award can only be made if conditions are met.
  • The deadline for scholarship applications is Friday 28 May 2010 for the September 2010 academic year. Applicants must ALSO apply for an academic place by this date.
  • The scholarship application must be typed (or reasons for not doing so given) and must be a piece of original work signed by the applicant. Essays must be of between 500 and 600 words. Checks may be made for plagiarism.
  • All scholarship applicants must agree to provide a student profile to be used in publications for the purposes of marketing the University of Bristol.
  • Current University of Bristol masters students are not eligible to apply.
  • Applicants who defer entry must apply for the academic year in which their studies will start.
  • There are 10 Scholarships worth £2000 each for any single taught programme of study. The amount will be deducted directly from tuition fees.
  • Scholarship awards are made by the International Scholarships Panel and all decisions are final.
  • Students will be notified in September if they have been successful and there will be a ceremony held during the academic year to celebrate the awards.
