COSSE is offered for the year 2010/11 by The Erasmus Mundus programme in Europe

COSSE is a two-year master’s programme offering a double degree from two universities. The students enter one of the universities and continue the second year at one of the other institutions in another country. COSSE offers education of the highest international standard as well as a unique experience of meeting different European cultures, languages, climate and nature.

Eligibility:

The following requirements must be met in order to be eligible for admission to the COSSE programme. The requirements are based on:

1. Previous studies
2. Language requirements
3. Documentation

Required Documents:

Your application must be supported by the following documentation:

1. A signed cover sheet (generated from the web-based application)
2. Complementary Erasmus Mundus application form signed by the applicant
3. Correctly certified degree certificates/diplomas from previous education at an internationally recognized university
4. Correctly certified complete transcripts of records from previous education at an internationally recognized university. All courses taken must be included.
5. Proof of English proficiency
6. Curriculum vitae including details on the academic career at higher education institutions
7. Two letters of recommendation from Professors of the most recently attended higher education institution
8. GRE tests, if available. (GRE general Test as well as GRE Subject Tests in Computer Science and Mathematics).
9. Letter of motivation including: your motivation for this programme, an indication of which specialization you wish to take, and why, where do you prefer to start your studies (home university) and where to continue (host university), a brief summary of the thesis work or the final assignment done for your Bachelor degree stating the credits, grade, and full workload (if available)
10. A copy of your passport or some other kind of identification in English

Selection process:

1. The number of study places available for the COSSE programme is limited and the application process is highly competitive. The selection process is based on a total evaluation of the following: university, content of degree/s, study success, motivation letter, references, relevant work experience, publications (including scientific posters etc) and proficiency in English.
2. Applicants are encouraged to attach Graduate Record examination scores (GRE general Test as well as GRE Subject Tests in Computer Science and Mathematics), to assist the evaluation committee in assessing how the selection criteria are met.
