University of Twente

Job description
PhD (3 years) Brain Computer Interface to assist in Stroke Rehabilitation
Project

Rehabilitation of (mild) stroke patients may be improved by providing real-time feedback about motor performance during training sessions. In addition to feedback from actual motor behavior, EEG based feedback could also contribute to the re-learning of motor skills. This project aims to develop a portable, easy-to-use EEG system for use in the in-home environment to assist in the rehabilitation of stroke patients.

In particular, the project will focus on
development of fast mountable (capacitive? ) electrodes
real-time signal processing of EEG signals
development of portable hardware/software
evaluation of the system in healthy subjects and patients
