Queen’s University Management School is delighted to offer two PhD Research Studentships each covering approved University tuition fees and a maintenance allowance of £13,290 per annum. Commencing 1 October 2009 for three years the studentships will be in the following areas: The successful applicant will be required to work as part of the Centre for Food Traceability research team at Queen’s University Belfast. The PhD project will address the business impacts of integrating sustainability considerations into the supply chain on a company’s strategy, policy and operations. Empirical work will focus on the agri-foods sector and be linked with industrial partners. The PhD project will address a research question relevant to the field of corporate sustainability management/corporate sustainability performance evaluation/sustainable finance. For informal enquiries relating to the Sustainability research project, please contact Professor Frank Figge (f.figge@qub.ac.uk) Academic Requirements Applicants should hold a Masters degree in a relevant area, or hold or expect to obtain a 1st class honours or high 2:1 degree in a relevant subject. As part of the application process, applicants are required to submit a research proposal, which clearly demonstrates how your experience and interests align with the aims of the research project. Proposals should be for empirical research involving qualitative and/or quantitative methods. Applications are encouraged from people seeking to pursue an academic career.
