New Zealand Refining Company Ltd Bursary 2009/2010 – The university of Auckland for engineering students

Scholarship Introduction:

The New Zealand Refining Company Ltd has made available a Bursary for a student in one of the Departments of Chemical & Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering or Engineering Science.

The Bursary shall be held in one of the Departments of Chemical & Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Engineering Science at The University of Auckland.

Eligibility for Scholarship:

a) Character;

b) The candidate’s potential contribution to the Engineering profession in New Zealand;

c) Financial need;

d) Leadership potential and social skills;

e) Academic achievement

How to apply:

The Bursary may not normally be held with any other Bursary, scholarship or fellowship.

• Provided a suitable position is available, the Company will offer the bursar paid employment during the summer vacation before the tenure of the bursary.

• The Selection Committee may refrain from recommending an award if it finds no candidate of sufficient merit.

• The Company reserves the right to terminate the award if the student is disciplined or does not complete his/her studies.
