Global MBA Scholarship 2010/2011 – for ACCA members

Scholarship Introduction:

The scholarships are awarded to those individuals who best represent ACCA’s core values of opportunity, innovation, diversity, accountability and integrity. In addition, members also need to demonstrate how the MBA programme will make a positive contribution to their own career, the accounting profession and the community in which they live.

Eligibility for Scholarship:

Any ACCA member that fulfils the following criteria is eligible to apply for the MBA scholarship:

• be an ACCA member of good standing

• have regular access to IT facilities

• admitted to ACCA membership less than 10 years ago

• minimum of three-years’ professional/managerial experience

• not already registered as a student on the MBA programme.

How to apply:

As part of the application procedure please include the following with your form:

• an up-to-date CV which briefly summarizes your work experience, academic history, community activities and interests

• a personal statement (maximum 1000 words) explaining how you represent ACCA’s core values, determination to complete the course, how you will find the time to study and describing the positive contribution you believe the MBA will make to your career, the accounting profession and the community in which you live

• provide the name and address of two contacts who have agreed to act as your referees. At least one of these should be your current employer or be able to comment on your ability in the workplace.
