The Institute of International Education offers The Emerging Markets Development Advisers Program to MBA/MA students and graduates of International Development/Relations program for the year 2010/11 in USA

The Emerging Markets Development Advisers Program (EMDAP), formerly known as the “Free Market Development Advisers Program (FMDAP)” was initiated in 1992. Since then, over 230 Advisers have participated in the program, providing assistance to over 150+ businesses and organizations in 46 USAID-assisted countries. EMDAP advisers — all students and recent graduates of U.S. MBA or Masters programs — represent 86 graduate schools.
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
  1. U.S. citizens
  2. o Note: If you are not a US citizen your application will be only considered contingent upon visa regulations of the host country.
  3. Have worked a minimum of two – three years in such areas as: marketing, banking, finance, business management, information systems management, or consulting, etc.
  4. Be recent graduates (within 5 years) of a masters degree program
  5. OR current students who will have completed their first year of coursework in an accredited U.S. MBA or MA program in international management/ finance/development or international affairs/studies.
  6. If not yet graduated, obtain approval for the ten-month leave between the first and second year of the graduate program from their U.S. academic institution and this institution’s endorsement of their candidacy if the student will still be enrolled in their academic institution at the time of the assignment.
