Scholarship Introduction:
Alabama State University scholarships are offered to the most outstanding entering freshmen and junior college transfer students. All scholarships are competitive and are awarded to the most qualified entering freshmen students

Eligibility for scholarship:
• Completed admission and scholarship application
• Official ACT score (or comparable SAT scores)
• Handwritten essay
• Official high school transcript

Scholarships are also awarded to the most qualified junior college transfer students on the basis of the following:
• Completed admission and scholarship application
• Official college transcript
• Official college transcript
Recipients of the Presidential and Academic scholarships are required to participate in one of two honors programs: Honors Humanities or Honors Science/Math (Pre-Minority Access to Research Careers Program).
