WWF’s Education for Nature Program is pleased to announce the availability of Russell E. Train Fellowships for students from Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Kenya, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Tanzania, and Timor Leste who are pursuing master’s and doctoral degrees in conservation-related fields.
Train Fellowships provide up to two years of support for education-related costs including tuition and fees, room and board, books, travel, and research. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of a participating country and must have at least two years’ experience in conservation. Applicants must have applied to, have been accepted to, or be currently enrolled in a conservation-related degree program at an accredited institution of higher education.
Applications for students from Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru are due by January 31, 2010.
Applications from Kenya, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Tanzania, and Timor Leste are due by February 28, 2010.

The Faculty of Business, Economics and Law at The University of Queensland offers Scholarships to Colombian students for the year 2010 in Australia

The Faculty of Business, Economics and Law at The University of Queensland is pleased to announce four scholarships for Colombian students. The successful applicants will be eligible to undertake a masters program through the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law at UQ.

Eligibility:
This scholarship is open to all who meet the following criteria:

1. Colombian citizen;
2. have received an unconditional offer from The University of Queensland for a masters program (or those who have met all requirements of their conditional offer by the 27 Nov 2009 (for semester 1, 2010 commencement) or 28 May 2010 (for semester 2, 2010 commencement);
3. have received a minimum grade point average of 5.5/7.0 (or higher) on the UQ scale after successful completion of an undergraduate degree (the equivalent GPA will be calculated from the relevant University scale from your home institution); and
4. will commence their program at UQ in Semester 1, 2010 (February) or Semester 2, 2010 (July).

Scholarship Details:
The scholarship will provide AUD$5000 towards tuition fees for a Faculty of Business, Economics and Law program. The scholarship will not cover:

1. The University of Queensland application fee;
2. cost of compulsory Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC);
3. living costs;
4. cost of return airfares; or
5. cost of textbooks or any other miscellaneous costs.

Application Process:

1. Submit your international student application for a relevant postgraduate program from the UQ Business School, School of Economics, TC Beirne School of Law or School of Tourism: www.uq.edu. au/study
2. Once you have received an unconditional offer or have received a conditional offer, which will lead to an unconditional offer, complete your scholarship application form. Application forms for the scholarship can be downloaded from: www.bel.uq.edu.au/internationalscholarships
3. Submit the scholarship application form and cover letter, via email, to the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law by the due date: Friday 27 November 2009 for semester 1 applications or Friday 28 May 2010 for semester 2 applications.
