THRUST Erasmus Mundus Master’s Programme 2010/11-International Students-Europe


The Erasmus Mundus Master’s Programme is offered to International Students for the year 2010/11 in Europe


The Erasmus Mundus programme in Aeromechanics (THRUST) is a cooperation between the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, Duke University in the US, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece and Université de Liège in Belgium. It is a two-year Master’s programme including compulsory mobilty for the students.

Eligibility:

Students from all over the world are welcome to apply.

How to Apply:

Your application must be supported by the following documentation:
  1. A signed cover sheet (generated from the web-based application)
  2. Complementary Erasmus Mundus application form signed by the applicant
  3. Correctly certified degree certificates/diplomas from previous education at an internationally recognized university
  4. Correctly certified complete transcripts of records from previous education at an internationally recognized university. All courses taken must be included.
  5. Proof of English proficiency
  6. Graduate Record Exam (GRE) General Test (www.ets.org/gre). Note that it is not required to send this in already with the overall application. The GRE results will be only needed for students choosing mobility option 3 (Duke) and must then be submitted at latest at the end of the first study semester. If you happen to have the GRE results already, we suggest that you submit it together with the other documents.
  7. Curriculum vitae including details on the academic career at higher education institutions
  8. Two letters of recommendation from Professors of the most recently attended higher education institution
  9. A copy of your passport or some other kind of identification in English.
  10. Letter of motivation including an indication of the desired mobility option


Selection Procedure:
  1. The number of study places available for the THRUST programme is limited and the application process is highly competitive. The selection process is based on a total evaluation of the following: Grade Point Average, course work related to the programme, motivation letter, working experiences and references. You may be called for a telephone interview as a supplement.
  2. Being accepted to the Master Programme does not guarantee that you will be assigned to your mobility option preference. The option attribution is based on preference but is not automatically satisfied. Selection process of the specialization option will be issued at the end of the first semester of the programme.
