The project

The manchester Industrial Marketing and Purchasing Research Group (mIMP), Manchester Business School, is looking to recruit two research assistants to work with Professor Peter Naudé, Professor Stephan Henneberg and Professor Paul Cousins.
They will register on our full-time PhD Business and Management programme which has been ranked No. 1 in the world for the last two years (Financial Times 2008, 2009). They will be offered a robust, systematic and flexible research training and have access to dedicated resources and facilities.
The post holders will also work with their supervisors on a number of different research projects, one of which will form the basis of their PhD thesis.
Research topics cover different aspects of business marketing. One of the research assistants is expected to work on a combined business marketing and supply chain management topic.

Entry requirements and funding
The posts are available to UK/EU and International applicants holding a first or upper second-class honours degree and a Masters degree in a related discipline and wishing to pursue a PhD in the broad area of business-to-business marketing. The positions are for four years, commencing September 2010. While no salary will be earned, the award covers full-time PhD programme tuition fees.
Successful candidates will be provided with an office and IT facilities and where opportunities are available, they may undertake paid teaching and/or grading work within the school.
